The Well is a safe community for women and teens who have experienced sexual violence, exploitation, or trafficking, or are at high risk for these. The Well provides holistic opportunities for personal and family healing, education, vocational development, and growth. We want to see women and families not only safe, but thriving, ready to help others do the same.
Many women who are appropriate for The Well have multiple obstacles that prevent healthy functioning. Each has a unique story, her own combination of the factors listed on Page 4. She might have complex trauma, addiction, or physical or mental illness. She might be a single mom. She might have finished sixth grade, or ninth, or twelfth. She might have parents to care for; she might have parents who don’t care for her at all.
This variety requires individual treatment plans rather than a set curriculum, designed to be holistic and structured around our “Reach, Teach, Send” paradigm. Women also experience true community, safety, and love at The Well, many for the first time in their lives. With this combination of individualized care and loving, safe community, we’re able to go deep and in many cases, witness genuine transformation.

“I am changing.”
She participates in therapeutic activities, medical/psychiatric treatment, while learning and applying life principles and skills, together with ongoing work and education.
Send: Give
“We are changing together.”
She lives with healthy habits, takes initiative in reaching and teaching others, and uses life and work skills with increasing confidence.
