Outreach

“Excuse us, may we love you?”

This sentence basically expresses the heart and soul of our entire organization.

One thing that stands out in the life and teachings of Jesus is that he reached out to people that he didn’t have to help. He didn’t just care about his family, but rather, all of humanity was his family. If someone had a need, he was there to help. He even called himself, “Son of Humanity”, making it very clear he was available for everyone. “The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost,” he said.

Thai society, just like any other, has many people who have lost their way: teens who have quit school; young adults just living for drugs and partying; couples fighting and breaking up; homeless people just surviving; women sacrificing their bodies to support their families. The list goes on.

Our workers love to reach out and find people like these, and offer to help. Sometimes the help can just be a voice of encouragement–just letting someone know that they are important. Maybe the help is a bit of food. But sometimes the help is big and life-changing, such as inviting someone to join The Well, taking to another recovery program, or helping find a job.
