Future Leaders

Jesus told his early followers that they were to be “the light of the world”. They were to be leaders not because of a desire for fame and power, but simply to help others. Love people, and teach them to love each other.

We all have childhood memories of an adult who made a big difference in our lives. Perhaps it was our parents, of course, or maybe an older relative, a neighbor or a teacher. Or as an adult, perhaps you have worked for or known a business owner or manager who cared for and provided opportunity to their workers.

All of our projects are about building people who will positively influence others. But we also work to find ways that promising young people, who might not otherwise have the opportunity, can earn degrees that will put them in positions where they can influence many. We partner with each student to fund their education and living expenses, and provide ongoing encouragement and support during their study.

To qualify, a young person must show not only discipline and ability to succeed, but they must demonstrate a desire and willingness to care for and serve others. We also give preference to those desiring to enter “helping professions”, such as medicine, social work and education.
