Connect Kitchen

One of the need groups that we are most concerned about is working lower-class women. We see that in the Thai economy, there are few jobs for these women that are what we call “family friendly”, that is, that fit with the needs of someone who has to work but also be a parent. Most jobs are 6 days per week, and many involve working evenings and weekends.

Connect Kitchen is a social enterprise that serves to provide work for women like these, while at the same time providing a useful service to others in the form of good quality, wholesome food products at reasonable prices. Women work at Connect Kitchen during the day, Monday through Friday. Their children can come participate in our after-school and school-break programs. We can even provide flexibility for women studying university to attend classes. At the same time, women are able to learn and grow in skills and leadership, while being a working family together.
